About the role

In this role, you will be cutting upholstery fabric for a wide range of commercial armchairs, lounges and recliners.

Role Title: Furniture Upholsterer

Location: Loganholme, Queensland, Australia

Hours: Monday – Friday, Full Time Permanent

Reporting: Furniture Manufacturing Manager

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Skilled in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team environment
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials when necessary
• Remove existing fabric covers and recover with replacement fabric and adding and removing webbing and covers
• Previous experience with pre-upholstery – webbing, foaming and upholstery – fitting covers, buttons.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools with precision and care
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in accordance with WHS guidelines
• Maintain the ability to work efficiently in a fast working environment
