Inventory Controller

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels and records within the distribution centre. This role ensures the right product is in the right place at the right time through disciplined cycle counting, effective replenishment, purchasing, and timely resolution of inventory issues.

Location: Moorebank, New South Wales, Australia

Hours: Monday – Friday, Full Time Permanent

Reporting: Operations Manager

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control and warehouse operations
• Knowledge of stock management processes: cycle counting, replenishment, putaway and transfers
• Proficient in WMS/ERP systems and MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock reconciliation
• Effective communicator and team player across warehouse, planning, and procurement

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances, damaged stock and discrepancies
• Manage replenishment of pick faces from bulk storage, ensuring timely and accurate movement of stock
• Raise and manage purchase orders with local suppliers for DC stock requirements
• Follow up with suppliers on delivery timing and resolve discrepancies on supplier invoices or deliveries
• Manage stock transfers in and out of the DC, ensuring accurate documentation and timely movement
